The painting below, THANK YOU MR EDISON, is the first one I've made in an attempt to capture artificial lighting in an urban setting. It was painted using acrylics on an 11x14" gallery canvas.
I've got plans in my mind to paint another urban scene using oil paint relatively soon. Not necessarily a night scene, but something urban. I want more experience in painting with oils. This year, I hope to do just that. When it comes to art and creativity, I never know exactly what will happen and when because it often changes direction. Because of that unpredictable element of creativity, I've decided just to stop fretting about it. Stop trying to control it. It's time to let go and let the journey guide me in the flow, even if that flow feels like it's all over the map!
